We took the first boat trip to Iloilo. We planned to ride in the Ocean Jet but failed to do so because it has so many passengers, and its next trip will be at about 7:15. So we decided to ride on Weesam, its 1st trip is at 6:30. But we incidentally passed thru the SuperCat ferry which is about to leave (6am), and a man shouting outside, "sakay na kamo malakat na, lista lgda ngalan sa barko na lg bayad!". And that's it, we end up riding the SuperCat and arrived Iloilo at 7:30am :)
Day1:
When we arrived on port, we asked the Traffic Enforcer as to how we could arrive at the PRC. He gave us good directions and arrived there safely.
At the PRC, we're shocked seeing a very, very, very long line of people to claim their licenses. We almost drop on our knees coz we found no hope for that day realizing that the PRC only caters 150 applicants to claim. Many people there said that many of them already went at around 5am to ensure they belong in 150.
At 9am, we went away from PRC and decided to look for a place to stay over a night. We followed the road where the PUJ's passed thru. It was a long walk that made us hungry. We stopped strolling andfilled our tummies at Jollibee until our friend, Bethel sent an SMS telling us a possible place for us to stay.
After eating, we took a walk again going to a pension house Bethel had suggested since we're afraid of riding on a PUJ thinking we might get lost.
It was a long walk again and the sun is up making us sweat more as we arrive Queen's, the pension house. It's affordable so we checked in. We left our things and fixed ourselves then went to SM City, the only place we know how to could get there, and the place where we can buy our needs. Arriving, we looked for a very cheap shirt and shorts so we can change. Luckily, we found them, very cheap but not so cheap-looking ;)
We bought pizza for lunch (P55.00), coz we're such in a hurry to go back in the pension house and the pizza parlor isnt crowded for us who were in a hurry.
We want back and rested the hot afternoon then we went to Trish's sister-in-law to get something. Before going there, we visited the church we once visited the day befor our NLE, i accompanied Trish and she prayed there while I took some photos.
We went to her in-law and to SM thereafter for our dinner. We bought some toiletries, and then went back to Queen's. We rested the night so we can get ready the following day.
Day 2:
We woke up at 3am so we can start stretching ourself up from bed. We have to be at the PRC at 5am so we can have a sure line. We fixed ourselves and left when done. We're supposed to eat at Jollibee nearby to fill up but we decided to check on PRC if there are people already. We walked going there since Queen's is just a block away.
At the PRC, there were already few people and some classmates of ours. We already arranged for a line to ensure it disregarding our hungry stomachs for it. Three hours have passed and the guard gave our priority numbers; im the 9th, Trish is 10th.
At the window 3, we waited for our numbers to be called . . . . . . .
"9-10-11..hulata nyu lang inyu ID 'day kay gnaprint pa."
"okay ma'am, thank you guid"
1 hour passed
We're famished! we ate at the nearby Jollibee to fill up. We went right after eating so Maridane, Ida , and Danica can eat too as it's our turn to wait.
2 hours passed
3 hours passed
The three has returned from eating. our names we're not called yet. It's so hot and the PRC is too congested.
At 12:30 . . .
"number 1-10 linya na kamo ari na"
hooray!we received our PIC! After all the hardships, we have this card on hand.
We went straight to SM for lunch before we travel back to Bacolod.
The three decided for RoRo while Trish and I went for SuperCat again. The ferry left Iloilo port at 5:10pm. We started to feel how tired we were but all the hardships were given worth as we receive our own licenses. Thank God for sustaining us! Indeed, patience is a virtue. Despite all the odds, we're glad that we were able to experience real adventure Trish and I shared ;)
